ELIZABETH ALISTAIR NINETEEN :: GRADUATE :: CITIZEN :: EMILIE DE RAVIN Hey there, kiddo! Why don’t you tell everyone your name? My name is Elizabeth May Alistair, but everyone just calls me Liz or Izzy. Alright then, Liz. Why don’t you tell everyone where you’re from? Well actually my family is new to here. We came from Michigan last year because my parents were taking an early retirement and decided that it would be nice to live in a small town. I don’t know why they bothered to move when I only have a year left of high school, but I do like it here a lot. Well, that’s good to hear. How is the transition from Michigan to Clarkestown? It’s different, I mean. . . Everyone knows each other. I guess that’s kind of nice. When we first moved here our fridge was full of welcome food for a good few months. We didn’t even need to go to the grocery store. Everyone’s just really sweet around here. The kids at school are pretty welcoming, I guess. It’s different in the sense that back in Michigan the new kid get’s their head into a trash can. Here people just. . . avoided me until I was deemed ‘safe’. If I had to explain it as anything. They seemed a little distant at first but I think we’re all on even grounds now. That’s great! What are your plans now that you’ve graduated? Wow, that was a hard choice to make. I was really into law for a while in the beginning of high school, but now I think I’d like to work with Radio. Yeah, it just seems like a really fun profession and it seems like everyone, generally, has a lot of fun. I was thinking about taking a year off to stay in Clarkestown with my parents, but I did end up applying to a few Media schools this year and got accepted, so. . . Stellar! And how are you relationship-wise? Oh, um. . . Yeah, I’m single. I mean, right now. I don’t really. . . I dunno, I guess I’m not sure I could really handle a long distance relationship, you know? Maybe if I find the right guy, but for now Izzy Alistair is a free woman. What are some of your hobbies, Liz? I play guitar, actually. Don’t ask me to play, because I’m not, well. . . I’m kind of shy, I guess. I also really like math, believe it or not. It’s always been a breeze for me. But on a regular basis I just listen to my radio and ride my bike around. Sometimes I’ll ride out to the fields with my crank radio and just chill out there. Or go for a walk along the old tracks. How do you think others see you? Uh, quiet maybe? Humble, shy. But I’m really not like that if you get to know me. I guess I just don’t want people to think I’m weird or something when they first meet me. I just ‘proceed with caution’. We’re almost out of time here, but Izzy, what are your plans for the summer? Well, this summer I really just want to hang out with my friends. I won’t be seeing them for a while once I go, so I really just want to hang out with them as much as possible. I also got a job at the summer fair this year. My mom was talking to mayor one day and somehow managed to get me a spot. You’re looking at Clarkestown’s rollercoaster operator. VERA // NONE YET // MADE THE SITE |
